Teakha! The first thing I remember this place is their green tea cheesecake. Never get bored with their green tea cheesecake. Then, the next thing I can relate to this cafe is their TEA! Tea is the soul of this place. The last thing I can come up with is the space of the cafe is REALLY small. But that’s how I like it. Small neighborhood with a small cafe downstairs. This place doesn’t sounds like Hong Kong at all!PoHo! This is new term I learned recently. But apparently this term has been used

PoHo! This is new term I learned recently. But apparently this term has been used for year. PoHo means area around Po Hing Fong, which is just one street next to Tai Ping Shan Street at Sheung Wan. Lots of art galleries, small cafes like Teakha, Cafe Deadend etc are popping up in the area. This area would probably be my weekend getaway destination!

The cashier is just facing the entrance. There is a big table on the left side that can accommodate around 9-10 people. There are some outside seats at the back of the restaurant, which usually are full with people.

The kitchen is just next to the cashier, where you can see the staffs are busy brewing tea, baking cakes, running around serving the customers.

As I mentioned before, their green tea cheesecake is the first thing I related to this place. So, how can me & my friends not order one to share?!

They serves the green tea cheese cake with a beautiful blue & white plate. It was really moist & soft as usual. Cheesecake usually gives people an impression that it’s heavy. But Teakha’s green tea cheesecake is totally another story! It’s has a strong green tea flavor without the fake green tea sweetness overload. There is a buttery biscuit base at the bottom. I would definitely have another piece if we weren’t trying other cakes.

3 layers of sponge cakes with 2 layers of cream with berries. The sponge cake was really fluffy & spongy. The cream was really light. But it's a bit too ordinary for me, even though the cake is nice with tea as afternoon tea.

Pineapple…my memory of it is usually in Chinese dish. Pineapple upside down cake is another beautiful creation of Teakha. Upside down cake mean the ingredient (i.e.: pineapple) is putted at the bottom & the cake mixture on top. So when it’s done baking & flip the cake over, the ingredient that putted at the bottom will turn out to be on top! Teakha’s pineapple upside down cake tasted sweet & fruity with the creamy crème anglaise.

If I have to put a priority of this 3 cakes we ate, it would be (1) green tea cheesecake, (2) Pineapple Upside Down cake & (3) Victoria Sponge Cake.

I tried their brown sugar osmanthus chiffon cake before. Unfortunately, we didn’t see it that day when we went there. I’m not sure it’s out of stock that day we went or they doesn’t offer this cake anymore.

Once in while they will have some new creations, so Teakha will be a spot at Sheung Wan I’ll go again and again!
