Barring aside the slow service amidst the pandemic, I had the benefit of witnessing one server take off her mask to wipe/play with her nose, and with the same gloves on, continued to serve other customers. Now, bonus points for wearing gloves, but such actions really defeat the purpose of wearing gloves in the first place. Moments later, a brief pause in their day, another server decided to bend over to stretch out lower back while the two were chatting. While recognising the health benefits of a good stretch, she then whips her leg around and puts her foot (with shoes on, not that this makes a difference) ON the serving/coffee making table to deep stretch her hamstrings. Admittedly, this is one of my favourite stretches, but there’s a time and place for this sort of stuff.
My biggest regret for today is not taking a video/picture of this because I was just in utter shock (the jaw dropping kind) that this was happening in front of me. The lack of management oversight and sense of hygiene, particularly in the times of a viral outbreak, is revolting.
The coffee was alright, btw.
