I was walking home from work one night and had a craving for Yokozuna but couldn't be bothered to wait in line so I thought I would try this Taiwanese place right next to it.I was promptly seated and the menu looked fairly simple and straight forward so I just ordered some wonton noodles and lemongrass and ginger chicken. The food was fairly average. I had no complaints but it certainly wasn't exciting or anything special. The wonton soup broth was bland and tasted diluted and lacked the comfort
I was promptly seated and the menu looked fairly simple and straight forward so I just ordered some wonton noodles and lemongrass and ginger chicken. The food was fairly average. I had no complaints but it certainly wasn't exciting or anything special. The wonton soup broth was bland and tasted diluted and lacked the comforting depth I'm used to; the noodles were slightly overcooked and too soft. However, the wontons were quite good and were generously filled with shrimp. The flavour of the chicken and lemongrass was good and it was a light and healthy dish. However, it was a bit drier than I would have liked.
The staff were really friendly and the food was served fast and efficiently so it's not a bad place to eat if you're coming home from work and in a hurry. It's also good value, the soup was $36 and the chicken dish was $58.
