A new place had opened up near by a place we always frequent. Previously, it was a sushi restaurant but after a few changes, it now serves fish soup udon. Usually I don't talk about the set drink. But wow ... was this impressive. I ordered a yuzu tea. Whenever I order this, it's usually some water with a scoop of yuzu paste from those big Korean jars. But here! It was actually tea with the yuzu paste. Impressive! It was so good.
I ordered the Hoikkaido Scallop with Snapper Soup Udon ($42). The udon was smooth and chewy. The soup was a bit on the fishy side but it was ok. The scallop was firm and fresh. Portion size was more than generous.
Boyfriend had the Geoduck with Snapper Soup Udon ($40). The geoduck didn't have any flavor. It was just fresh and firm but lacked any flavor. This wasn't as good as mine.
Portion size was good. Food was ok but the soup was a bit fishy. So, if you can't stand fishiness, then this place may not be for you. Price was very inexpensive so might be back.
