It's Pakdon. Menu is in English and Chinese and is one laminated page. Simple enough. Ordering is simple. You order when you sit down and pay after you finish eating at the cashier. There is no 10% service charge.

Boyfriend and I ordered two set meals for one. I had Hainan chicken and he had Yu Shiang minced pork cake. We both chose drinks instead of soup as it was hot outside and I don't like drinking MSG laced soup.

The sets for one looked like this. The rice can be changed to regular rice instead of the chicken oil rice but why have Hainan chicken without the chicken oil rice? The rice was nice and fragrant with bits of chopped dried garlic and onions. The vegatables were ok.

Hainan chicken were boneless. Meat was moist and juicy. However, I didn't eat the skin as the feathers weren't plucked properly and was layered all over the skin!

Yu Shiang minced pork cake was not really good. I think boyfriend liked it more than me as I didn't like it at all. It was oily and hard. It didn't really taste like pork but more like a fish cake. I only ate a little bit.

I liked the Hainan chicken and would probably stick to that. Apparently, the best seller is the bak kut tea has it was sold out when we got there. Would like to note the service was pretty nice. Especially the manager who treated all the customers as if they were his friend coming over for dinner. He was witty and funny, throwing out the odd English here and there.
