Strolling along Lee Tung Avenue, you’ll easily spot the minimalistically designed Omotesando Koffee from a distance with its large glass panels and signature cube coffee bar inside. I came earlier than the lunch crowd to skip the long queue that usually forms up on a weekday. After I had paid for my order at the cashier, I gave the receipt to the barista behind the counter, who asked if I wanted to add any sugar to my beverage, then walked up the short flight of stairs to find a seat while waiting for my food to be prepared.
After a short while, the barista called my number and I picked up my matcha latte, which had a beautiful tulip pattern on top. Taste-wise, it was quite milky with a slight natural bitterness.

The beef curry rice came quite quickly afterwards, which was brought to my table by a nice waitress. The rich Japanese curry sauce went well with a spoonful of plump rice and tender beef. I especially enjoyed the crunchy onion bits, as it added extra texture and depth to the dish.
