As our boss was on leave today, we had the luxury of going for a longer lunch break. As we worked at Kowloon Bay and seldom have the time to go to Kwun Tong for lunch, my colleague suggested to bring me to one of the cafes for lunch. This particular cafe that he mentioned was situated inside an industrial building and was quite hard to find initially. They have few choices for their lunch set and the price was quite reasonable. They have few choices for their lunch set and the price was quite reasonable. For additional $8, we can have bread and soup as well.
An attractive part about this cafe was that they provide free flow beverage and we can take our drinks at the drink counter. Tea, water and coffee were provided so that we could refill as many times as we could.
Boletus soup - A small cup of bread crumbs was provided to go along with the soup. Bread crumbs were crispy and soft. Soup was creamy and very tasty and have few boletus meat in it.
Lemon tea - I added few slices of lemon and sugar syrup into my red tea. It was sweet and slightly sour.
Matcha pasta with prawns and scallops - It was the highlight of the meal. My colleague told me that their signature dish was their matcha pasta and it certainly did not disappoint me. Pasta was of those round and fat texture and was chewy. I could taste slight matcha on the pasta and was quite special. Prawn was chewy but the scallop was slightly soft.
Ice cream - I chose 2 flavour for my ice cream - matcha and earl grey chocolate. Matcha tea flavour was strong and the texture was soft. As for the earl grey chocolate, i could taste the scent of the earl grey tea, sweet and bitterness of the chocolate. The ice cream do not melt easily as well.
