Made a call just 1.5 hours earlier and managed to reserve a table for two at 12:30p.m. The egg custard and salad had been served to us before we even placed our orders! 特上海鮮刺身飯定食 Premium assorted sashimi rice set

We ordered two lunch sets among the quite limited choices. This one was definitely not worth the price with so little and thin sashimi slices! Even though the slices were so thin, the rice was not fully covered! Even worse, the quality of the sashimi was also not worth the price. They totally lacked freshness, even the big shrimp! The best sashimi slice was probably the only 1 slice of toro and the minced toro. The uni was ok only, super far from the best we had had. That said, the seaweed was very crispy and it was interesting to put rice on it and then eat like rolls made by yourself. In short, it was not recommended at all.

This lunch set was not my order. I just tried some sea urchin which was a bit 腥. I would say there could have been more ingredients at such a price. See some rice was not covered at all.

These were all prepared in advance and lined up on the chef table ready for serving. The seaweed in the little bowl was ok. The 2 rolls were so bad with the super soft seaweed and lack of ingredients......The deep fried ball was very cold. The soup was just like hot water with salt added plus some seaweeds. The water melons were tasteless.

We topped up by $28 + 10% for a dessert. Originally wanted to top up for Tsujiri matcha/houjicha pudding but they were out of stock. These almond tofu were the best of the day. They were very very smooth with a strong flavour of almond. The almond tofu even 起沙! Yummy.

A complimentary drink was included in the lunch set. You could order yuzu soda, softdrinks or coffee/tea. We ordered green tea which tasted like water and Yuzu Soda which was just soda water with yuzu. We seldom wasted drinks like this after drinking only 2 sips.

Would definitely not go back and ask others not to go.
