I went there at around 7pm on a weekday, and there was only one customer there, so I was pretty surprised that for such a famous ramen joint, it was empty at dinner time. Maybe it's due to the obscurity of this location. Compared with the queue outside Ippudo........... I shall say no more.Service: was OK, I wouldn't say attentive, but was not rude either. Decor: Personally, I hate dark places. And this is such a place. The wall is painted black, and the staff wear black too. There are many newspaper clippings, and some celebrities' writings on the wall and I can see quite a few awards dotting the place. The seats are comfortable, at least you do not need to share your personal space with three other neighbours, as often find in other typical Chinese eateries.
Food: Surprisingly good, Groupon dictates that I have the white miso chicken ramen.
The meat is tender and the soup is quite thick, but I wasn't too thirsty afterwards, so that's a plus. The portion was just alright for a lad. For the sidedish, I opt for the kabocha croquette instead of the dumplings.
The fillings is still piping hot when served. I never had such tasty pumpkin croquette before. Great, thumbs up!Verdict: Will be back!
