My mom was watching a TV program a few Saturday nights ago, and she saw the segment on White Beard Fish n Chips and told me that she'd like to try it. I asked godbro XO to check out White Beard with me, and if it's good, I'd buy some take-outs for mom to try.XO and I met up last Friday after work and trekked our way up to White Beard Fish n Chips, which is located on Peel Street. XO and I met up last Friday after work and trekked our way up to White Beard Fish n Chips, which is located on Peel Street. Peel Street was a little difficult to find, and even the taxi driver didn't know where it was either! After getting off at Staunton Street, I had to look around for a little bit to locate Peel Street, and once on Peel Street, I looked for the game console that's in front of White Beard that I saw in other reviewer's photos.
The shop itself is pretty small and only had a couple of tables with bar stools. The bar stools were not too tall, so they were a tad more comfortable for my corgi legs. There was only enough seating for about 5, 6 people inside the shop, so the shop does mainly take-out orders.
The decor of the shop has a beer theme, and they sell quite a few specialty beers, and some special beverages from New Zealand as well.
From the menu, it shows that this is not a traditional British fish and chips place, but rather a New Zealand fish and chips kind of place. There's a choice of hoki or ling cod for the fish and chips.
Even though this shop specializes in beer, XO and I are not beer drinkers, and both of us ordered the Guava Sparkling.

White Beard Oysters: The oysters had a light, crispy batter, and they were very plump and meaty. They recommended that we have the oysters with the spicy mayo, but I think the oysters tasted better with the tartar sauce since I'm not a big Sriracha fan.
After finding the fish and chips and fried oysters to be very delicious, I decided to order a couple orders of fish and chips and the bread crumb platter for my mom and brother to try at home! My mom was very happy with her fish and chips as well, so we will be returning to White Beard again in the future!
