a cloudy & chilly sunday morning, all i want is a nice & hot breakfast! went to basement of land crawford in tst, & presented "wine on the waterfront" coupon from hk tourist board(1) crispy croissant stuffed with mega spam, ample cheese & double scrambled japanese eggs 👍🏻 met my expectation; (2) paired with their signature coffee tonic. apart from the combo of wine & dine, we also had (3) pork chop all day breakfast set ($158), pork chop well seasoned & everything's just rightfood was absolute

food was absolutely fine, but the service... when the waiter refilled water for us, i asked if it's warm (as cold water was served in the beginning). followed by a "yes", "see the steam? so it's warm". excuse me!? i was just checking, was 'bout to say thank you for serving warm water on a chilly day. didn't expect to "learn" steam means warm, im not here to argue what happen to hot then. just didn't get his logic to answer this simple yes or no question.
yet, it didn't end there... he also handled our bill. after he asked "cash or card", i pointed out he mistakenly charged the combo which was a redemption. he corrected the bill & repeated "cash or card" without apologies for overcharge. had no idea what he was rushing for? the line was just me, n the cafe wasn't fulled at all, he had ample time. needless to say, not even a "thank you" when passing the receipt to me
