I have wanted to try ICHU for quite some time. It’s so popular that seats for Restaurant Week (lunch) were always gone very quickly. This was the first time we tried Peruvian food, and it’s a great one!
Portion was quite small to be honest, but the food was very delicious. This Salmon Tiradito was cured salmon with orange vinaigrette, rocoto chili and lemon. It was absolutely gorgeous, the seasonings were novel and very refreshing to us. The orange and avocado were delightful.The dressing was superb to go with the salmon.
Main was Ceviche Caliente, which was a tasty Peruvian fish stew with aji Amarillo and lime. The fish was so fresh, it was seared and rightly salted, which made it really enjoyable, especially with the soup! The soup was kinda creamy, yum! I immediately fell in love with Peruvian fish stew.
Name of this dessert was Lost in Lima, which was ice cream with passion fruit dressing and coco pops. So delicious that we wish there were more of it!
Definitely worth visiting again for their great food!
