A trendy and romantic restaurant situated in a 5 storey building the in heart of Central.The restaurant had all 5 floors for itself, and each floor was there for a different purpose, from shop to bar to private room. I guess if you decide to come for dinner it's best to make a reservation to avoid disappointments.We had an option between a la carte and set dinner. Set dinner included a starter, risotto, a choice between rib eye and chicken, cheese cake, and also coffee or tea.
After we ordered our food, the waitress brought us some bread. They were warm and soft. Although we were offered olive oil to serve with the bread, we decided to have them plain.Soon, the starter came.
Spanish ham and Parma ham :Spanish and Parma ham were served with rocket salad, caramelised figs and truffle honey. This was such a perfect match!
Parmesan risotto:I am not a fan of cheese so I was a bit worried when I saw this on the menu. However, the risotto didn't have a strong taste of parmesan. The lobster Scarlett ragout, zucchini and tarragon oil even gave the risotto a creamy texture.
Pan seared USDA rib eye:The rib eye looked absolutely appetising. It was crispy outside and juicy inside, served with seasonal vegetables, potatoes and shallot red wine jus.
Chicken roulade:Chicken and mushroom are my favourite food. Chicken pieces were stuffed with foie gras terrine, mushroom and shaved black truffles. They were moist and tender so I guessed they were done using the slow-cook method.
Cheese cake:The cheese cake was served with berries. It wasn't too rich or sweet, just right for me.
Coffee or tea:The set dinner ended with coffee or tea. I was so impressed by the fact that the milk was heated so our drinks wouldn't have gone cold too soon.
It was such a nice experience. Although we had to wait for a while to get our food, it was a romantic place with good food and service. What an ideal place for dates!
