This is my second meal at the restaurant. My first visit for afternoon tea had waiters breaking glasses and some rough edges but I figured that was the first 2/3 month so I didnt mind it. Given how I like the decor and esp the proximity to my office, I thought I should share my 2 cents
I was greeted by friendly bell captains at the entrance but then another staff, rather than hold the elevator doors for me, raced me to the exit only to see him then walk around leisurely the lift lobby (I try to comfort myself perhaps he was driven by certain nature calls?)
then I stood totally ignored by the receptionist at the door who was on the phone, yes I understand she was on the phone and perhaps I was asking too much for her to acknowledge my presence...but there were other servers there who just dozed around until I finally flagged one down to seat me....
I was handed a lunch menu only to have it taken away 2 mins later by another waiter who claimed that since my booking was 1130am I should look at the breakfast menu instead...
(yes at this point i checked and no i dont have BO nor did I had toilet paper stuck to the bottom of my shoes....I was clad in proper business attire!)
When we were ready to order, (remember how there were waiters dozing around? they vanished!) there was no servers in sight, we had to wait around 7~10 mins for someone to notice us
We ordered eggs benedict and fried egg noodles, but they were served around 10mins apart so the eggs benedict were all cold when the noodles arrived...
Finally the sum on the bill was wrong even though I highlighted the discount I had...
The food was ok and there were some very friendly waiters but the experience left me feeling very far from being welcomed...
