Unexpectedly good tonkatsu in Mongkok. We're so accustomed to the regular garbage one finds in MK that this place took us by surprise. The seating was spacious, not crowded at all. The service uncommonly good by any standards (especially Hong Kong!) We brought children, and the staff were delightful in their courtesy and attention to detail. The tonkatsu was better than at its sister branch in IFC, which is saying something as it was significantly cheaper in Mongkok. Crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside, just barely pink (medium well, as it should be!) The pork bone soup was intensely flavored, almost too 'porky'. Their Japanese curry sauce was a bit simple, but obviously homemade, not from a packet like most mediocre places.
Generally an excellent experience. I will be back!
