Service worse than a Canteen

I brought my HK wife their for a suppose romantic dinner a la francaise, I booked a table 2 weeks in advance and arrived on time. Unfortunately the problem began immediately even if the restaurant was only half full, I was asked to take the table facing directly the street and where the air con did not reach. I asked gently and politely to got another table and have to argue for 15mn to get one with the waitress. Finally I can tell you for romantic dinner it was over even before it started. Then

Unfortunately the problem began immediately even if the restaurant was only half full, I was asked to take the table facing directly the street and where the air con did not reach. I asked gently and politely to got another table and have to argue for 15mn to get one with the waitress. Finally I can tell you for romantic dinner it was over even before it started. Then came the dinner, in general the food was ok, the starters were fine the main dishes were a good surprise as the beef and the ribs were really good, the dessert on the other was very very disappointing. For an italian restaurant, I have never expected to receive a tiramisu so called without mascarpone cheese but instead a sponge cake with a fake layer of something looking like mascarpone but so little that I needed my microscope to find it. My wife got the banana I even don t recall the name as it was also awful. The problem was the service, I would call it worse than a Canteen, fast not nice and really far far millions of miles away from what could be expected. I have worked as a chef in France and I know what I talk about, so in general if you look for fast dinner in a Canteen you can go there but forget about any romantism and reataurant atmosphere when you cross their door
