As Happy Valley is slightly far off from Causeway Bay, thus I do not come here usually. Since I have a meeting at Happy valley in the morning, my colleague decided to bring me for lunch here. He told me that there was an authentic Shanghai restaurant in Happy Valley. Besides offering lunch set, they do provide lunch special as well. It meant selected dishes are at a discounted rate and is only available from Monday to Saturday during 11am to 5pm. It comes with 1 glass of soy milk.
Plum juice - I topped up additional $8 to change my drink to plum juice. It was served cold and was sour, strong plum taste. It was a healthy drink, perfectly suited during summer.
Dan dan noodles - I can choose the level of spiciness and i requested for medium spicy. The noodles were chewy and the soup was fiery red in color. The soup was spicy, but still manageable. There were few minced meat in it as well.
Marinated chicken - It was meant to be a cold dish as the chicken was served cold. It was juicy and smooth, but was slightly tough though.
Steamed dumplings - This was supposed to be the signature dish for Shanghainese cuisine. It was served hot and the soup inside the dumpling was tasty. The skin was soft and the meat was fresh as well.
