菜遠牛肉湯河粉Oh dear. It was almost shocking to experience such a big failure for such a simple noodle dish. There was hardly any soup, and the little soup it had was literally water with salt, and some oil floating on top. It tasted like nothing besides water and salt. Oh dear. It was almost shocking to experience such a big failure for such a simple noodle dish. There was hardly any soup, and the little soup it had was literally water with salt, and some oil floating on top. It tasted like nothing besides water and salt. I have never tasted such a lame soup base. The noodles themselves were of incredibly bad quality – all of different lengths (most were shorter than my finger and very hard to pick up with chopsticks), and overcooked, such that bits seemed to be floating away from each strand. Ew? And, the 菜遠 was hard, tasteless 菜心 – even I can make more attractive veg. The beef was in fact the only acceptable item… The 杏仁霜 that came with it was also alright, but I still don’t consider this lunch to be worth over HK$30. It honestly was a bowl of mess. A very small bowl, too. 張貼
