I was craving for the old school sizzling pan steak house and immediately thought of the sweetheart garden restaurant nearby.Restaurant was pretty packed. Staff efficiently arranged seats and served us water. What caught our attention was the chef recommendation, the British porkchop. We additionally ordered the baked escargot and mashed potatoes. Daily soup was first served with the hot bun. Bun was warm but slight chewy. Fluffy and soft. I picked their traditional tomato soup instead of cream

Daily soup was first served with the hot bun. Bun was warm but slight chewy. Fluffy and soft. I picked their traditional tomato soup instead of cream soup. Tasted like the traditional oriental tomato soup. More tangy and tomato paste base. Loaded veggies which were cooked to soft but not mushed. Fluffy bun was perfect for a dip.
Baked escargot visually was drooling. Smell buttery. Escargot was cooked perfectly. Easily fork out with buttery and juicy parsley flavour. Mashed potato was creamy and velvety. Very buttery that kept you eating it. Love the slight burnt edge for the extra crisp.
Here it came to the main! Staff friendly reminded us to shield ourselves with napkins in case the hot sizzle splashed on us. It was steamy hot. Can either pick black pepper or garlic gravy. I chose black pepper. Pork chop was incredibly moist and tender. Absorbed so well with the sauce! Pouring sauce was enough to coat everything on the hot sizzle plate. Pork chop was massive. Every bite was meaty. Only tiny tendon part was chewy but acceptable. Chips were also served underneath which absorbed all the sauce. Nice to have extra flavour but became soggy.
All in all, a great come back dinner for my childhood favourite. Will definitely come back occasionally for some hot pan meat.
