After living in Hong Kong for 6 years, I've been to a number of good and bad restaurants here. However, none of those places were either good or bad enough to make me want to create an Openrice account to publicize my opinion of the restaurant and its food.  Yet, here we are...
Although I'm no expert on Mexican food, I do feel like I have had my share of really good Mexican food in my life. I'm originally from San Francisco, I lived in Los Angeles 8 years and frequented Mexico regularly.  Rather than go through my entire experience and list the dishes that we were subjected to, I 'll just summarize with the list/ranking below.
Mexican food from (best to worst)...Mexico - Very good and obviously authentic.California - Very good with a lot of authenticity still, but like most other ethnic foods has an American spin to it (burritos are an American creation).Cali-Mex/Taco Chaca/Caliente/Little Burro - Good enough where you can still recognize that it's Mexican food. I'll eat here only if I'm really jonesing for a burrito, and not heading back to California anytime soon. These guys are all more or less on the same level.Brickhouse - Good food, but bad Mexican food if you know what I mean. It's like Chinese food in the states... I love me some General Tso's chicken, but it's hardly "Chinese food". Brickhouse also makes it up with a really fun atmosphere.El Loco Gringo - They're a wanna be version of Brickhouse, but not only do they have bad Mexican food, they make bad food in general. If you do decide to go, stay away from the chorizo which was more like hot dogs (soft and soggy) and the sea bass.  They were expensive for what it is too (the prices are per taco).
Good luck if you decide to go there... you gotta be a Loco Gringo if you do.
題外話/補充資料: They do not offer tap water, bottled water only.

  • The tequila. Great way to chase the flavor of the food.
