Not talking about Ar So's recommendation of these 2 shops on Wellington street, but the food is only average for Beijing food.Had the following:1) Fried Wood Ear with pork dish - here it has a lot of thick sauce and not as dry as some other shops do it. Pretty authentic in a way, but taste and aroma is not as good as this dish can get in other places or in Beijing or Northern China. 2) Chives and Pork Dumpling - Its not as fatty as most other shops in Beijing or Hong Kong, in fact I was surprise

2) Chives and Pork Dumpling - Its not as fatty as most other shops in Beijing or Hong Kong, in fact I was surprised they changed this to become more healthy and less authentic.
I'm a bit of a healthy eater so didn't mind it 1 bit, although the fillings weren't too tasty. Skin was the right thickness - not too thin or too thick. OK only.
3) Seafood and Sea Cucumber Dumpling - this was the best dumpling and dish for the night. Lots of seafood and pork taste, although couldn't really detect where the sea cucumber went. A little bit too salty though.
4) White rice - wasn't washd properly and had a funny smell to it, as is usually the case in non-clean shops. Due to this bit alone, had to downgrade the rating.
5) Dessert -wanted the 'rolling stone' one but ran out.
