The Globe was an interesting find, especially as it was a rainy and chilly morning. It seemed family run (although I was unable to confirm this) with its down-to-earth atmosphere and service. Menu offers traditional British with a multicultural touch and doesn't print Chinese characters (a good sign if you're looking for unscaled, non-Chinese restaurants with a more culturally authentic team). You could choose to dine around pub-style seating on wooden furniture, socialize with your drink mixer
Food was OK and inexpensive, on par with pubs in England. I heard their pies are very good. Beer selection is impressive and includes some local brews.
Food Rundown
Sunday Roast
This seems like an obvious order for a Sunday brunch. The roast is made in-house and come out piping hot, sitting atop mashed potatoes with carrots and cauliflower, and a side of crunchy broccoli. Soup was OK. Not bad overall.
Salad
Fresh with a good range of veggies, but a bit short on leafy greens.
