This restaurant is really about home-cooking, Taiwanese style. The pork rice (控肉飯)was made up of a large piece of tender pork belly. But the sauce was a bit bland. The broth for the beef noodles (紅燒牛肉麵)was slightly spicy but lacked beef flavour. It only had two slices of beef shank which was unnecessarily little. The fish cake was the bright spot in that it was surprising chewy and yet there was a taste of real fish in it.
