Last Sunday was Father's Day. We were looking for a restaurant where It is spacious and comfortable. We think of this restaurant VBT Kitchen and Bar located in Golden Coast。The design of the restaurant is very trendy with spike if Vietnamese interior design. The ceiling is very high with Vietnamese hats as decoration. The seats are not particularly comfortable thou. The other side is the bar area with cool bottles and fancy design. The first dish is the truffle French fries. It's been just fried and very hot and crunchy. With the taste of slightly salted truffle, the combination is very exciting.
The next dish is the spicy pork with lettuce wrap. The pork is too salty, luckily the fresh lettuce has tuned down the saltiness. The herbal taste and spice are quite attractive. The crunchy fresh lettuce with spiced up pork creates a very good combination.
Then it comes the fried chicken wings with little spicy. The chilli tastes mainly came from the sliced chili on top of the chicken wings. Therefore, the internal part is not spicy at all. The wings is quite small but tasty.
Then we have a spring roll in Vietnam style with rice noodles. The spring roll has layers of texture with crunch surface and hot smuggy veggies and pork inserts. It creates an interesting combination. Rice noodles with some Vietnamese sour soup and herbs is filling.
Then finally we had a spicy scrimp. The taste of the herbs and spice are very popped, it helps to neutralise the fishy smell from the scrimp. The scrimp is quite fresh and big.
Over all we enjoy this meal a lot and we like the atmosphere there.
