Restaurant is spacious with only a few customers. Staff assigned us to a comfy booth seat. They brought us the menu and water once we seated, very efficient! Menu was big but we made up our mind pretty quick this time, just went for the most signature pickled vegetable fish in bb spice and sticky rice cakes with brown sugar.
The female staff accidentally dropped one piece of rice cake when she brought the plate to the table. She immediately said sorry to us and told the kitchen to fry us another piece! A real big thumb up for her sincere and responsible attitude!
Rice cakes were freshly fried, need to be extra cautious biting into it otherwise tongue will easily get burnt! It was cripsy outside, chewy and sticky inside. Brown sugar syrup was served on side instead of pouring directly onto the rice cakes. It was thoughtful that customers could control the amount of sweetness based on own preference. Also, crispy shell won't turn soggy easily!
Pickled vegetable fish came in a humongous bowl with many side ingredients, including flat glass noodles, baby cabbage, sliced celtuce, enoki mushroom and radish. Fish was thinly sliced with no bones and no odd fishy taste. Fish fillet was neither flaky nor firm, perfectly cooked so it had a smooth and silky texture with a piquant taste! This bowl definitely gave me a wow even I'm not into fish!
Overall it was a real satisfying dining experience with delicious food, responsible
