Stairway to Common Room

Friday night is always good to go to Central, however “what to eat?” is always the issue as well! Walking from Soho to LKF, finally we spotted this western restaurant. The restaurant is on the second floor, therefore you will need to take the stairs. It was pretty packed on a Friday night, I guess everyone just wants to grab some drinks to end the week of work.  The menu is basically printed on the tablemats and I was pretty surprised that the prices aren’t so expensive
 Soon or later we know why, it is because the portion is quite small
…

 Not for long, Lobster Bisque Mac & Cheese has brought to us. At first, we thought they gave us the wrong dish since is kinds of similar to a bowl of soup
. Yet, it is the mac n cheese that we ordered
… There are some small pieces of lobster meat in the sauce and it does taste a lot like lobster soup lol
. Personally I think the lobster flavor is rather rich and that what I was hoping for, but it is a bit salty
.
Sous Vide Salmon

 Another dish that we ordered is Sous Vide Salmon, it is a smoked salmon dish. It was being covered before it got on the table, nevertheless the waiter removed the cover before I take out my phone and the smoke has slipped away already
…. The salmon smells really good and its texture is about right, which is soft and juicy
. The skin is a bit fishy for me, so I didn’t eat it. There is a heavy truffle flavor among the sauce and the salmon stand out against the truffle sauce. I felt delightful of this dish

Cryo-Fried Vanilla Ice Cream

 While we were waiting for the main courses, we have checked out Instagram and noticed there is a special dessert here. Therefore, we decided to give a shot to the Cryo-Fried Vanilla Ice Cream~ The waitress has poured some whisky on top of the dessert, then set it on fire and it looks incredible
!! Even the foreigners were surprised by it and asked about this dessert lol
.

 After the fire is out, the waitress has drizzled some raspberry sauce on it. Basically this dessert is a giant pancake ice cream ball, the pancake is wrapping the vanilla ice cream. Moreover, the pancake has soaked in the whisky and taste amazing with the ice-cold ice cream
. The ingredient of this is rather simple, nevertheless the taste of it is spectacular
!!
The drinks are expensive here, hence we decided to crash the pubs in LKF for drinks
