Had an early lunch after a short hike near Tai Hang on Sunday. Shop looked cleaned and organised - so no argument there. Ordered:A) Bak Kut TehB) Meat patty with fried eggC) Kaya Toast Suggest not ordering the Bak Kut Teh. Have had both the Malaysia (herbal dark soup) and Singapore (peppery white soup) versions and am sad to say this shop served a poor version of both (peppery dark soup). Soup itself tasted weird with an awful aftertaste. It smelt like a poorly cleaned pig stomach soup. Unless

Suggest not ordering the Bak Kut Teh. Have had both the Malaysia (herbal dark soup) and Singapore (peppery white soup) versions and am sad to say this shop served a poor version of both (peppery dark soup).
Soup itself tasted weird with an awful aftertaste. It smelt like a poorly cleaned pig stomach soup. Unless that is what you have craving for, you would be better off ordering the other items which looked and tasted decent.
The kaya toast was good. Would order that again if in the area again.
