I didn't get to try W-hotel's Tropical Afternoon Tea last year and finally got to try it this year. Besides the Champagne cocktail, you also will have tea/coffee.Previously, I have commented that this afternoon may not be too fulfilling but this time it was more than enough. Previously, I have commented that this afternoon may not be too fulfilling but this time it was more than enough. The addition of the sticky rice and mango was a great choice to make the afternoon tea more "tropical" and allowing us to be more full.
Service was great. They not only asked about the cocktail whether there was a need to switch to a mocktail before serving, they also offered to switch the durian cake if we don't like durian (you love it or hate it). Despite not being a fan of durian, I decided to try it and surprisingly it was not too overpowering. The top was nicely caramelized as well. Their passion fruit meringue tart was definitely my favorite.I was also impressed by the savory as the tropical fruit componenets were also incorporated into it. The foie gras with vanilla pineapple was the most interesting out of all of them.
