This is my frist time having lunch here and it was an unexpectantly delicious experience. At first, I thought Avanti was a local Chinese-Italian pizza joint hence I never gave it a thought to try, but GOSH was I ever wrong. There service was wonderful, the manager was pro, and the environment was posh and welcoming with lots of space among the tables.
The lunch buffet menu includes a salad buffet and daily soup of the day. The salad buffet was pretty decent with potato salad, romaine lettuces and other sides, variety of dressing, tuna and spinach salad, so on. Basically, I was already half full by the time I had my second helping of salad and it was just so satisfying when you can eat your heart out in healthy greens on a Sunday afternoon.
The cream of mushroom came with the meal and it was absolutely delicious! You can actually taste the fresh mushrooms inside unlike the usual cream & msg based soups served regularly in other local restaurants. This is the real deal
The Yabby Penne is shrimp, mixed veggies and mushroom with pesto sauce. I personally prefer very saucy pastas but this was tasted so rich with garlic, olive oil & pesto that I actually preferred this pasta more than the carbonara. Thumbs up for the flavor!
The spaghetti carbonara was nice too cooked to perfect al dente. It was creamy but I think it got shot down compared to the Yabby Penny.
Mouth watering mushroom & veggie cheese pizza. If you like cheese, this is the real deal! It's so cheesy and with the super thin crunchy crust, this pizza is dynamite in the mouth!
I like this salami and tomato pizza the best. Other than the crust and cheese, the tomato base was the perfect blend of Italian spices and I couldn't help but eat two slices after everything else I've eaten. MUST TRY! Overall, I would definitely come back for lunch again because a meal includes unlimited access to the salad bar, a soup, a main course either pasta or 8" pizza, and all for only $128-$138. They have other entrees too such as steak, salmon and lamb but I think it's a bit too heavy for lunch.
