I've never been to Sham Tseng but apparently it's famous for roast goose. And THE place to go is 深井陳記燒鵝. However, instead of trekking so far there, they have branches on Hong Kong Island. We decided to give it a try when we were in Central. The place was small and just your typical roast meat restaurant. The menu was in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge except after 6 PM. Tea sets come with a drink.Roasted Goose with Rice Spaghetti ($45). The noodles were bit on the hard side.

Roasted Goose with Rice Spaghetti ($45). The noodles were bit on the hard side. The soup was extremely salty so basically all MSG.
The roast goose was dry and really salty as well. There wasn't much meat and mostly bone. The dipping sauce just tasted really sour. No balance of sweet and sour at all.
Boyfriend ordered something from the lunch menu. The scrambled egg with shrimp and BBQ pork ($55). This came out a bit sad. And again the whole thing was salty. The eggs were really salty and over cooked. The shrimp, though fresh, had a bit too much salt as well. The charsiu was dry and tough.
Definitely not good at all. Will not be back.
