Shortly after we ordered our food, the staff served us a pot of hot tea. It was clear, having strong floral scent.
8 treasure lotus leaf rice - The serving was huge, served in a round steamed basket. Rice was cooked till very chewy and fragrant, with alot of ingredients in it such as salted egg yolk, mushroom, pork, prawns and scallops etc. They were chewy and juicy, with the rice not sticky.
Herbal soup was very clear and sweet, with no MSG tasted and little oil in it. It was served hot and pork was chewy.
Appetizer provided was sliced cucumber and pickles, which was crunchy and juicy, very appetizing.
Dessert was osmanthus jelly, which was very smooth and chewy, sweet in taste.
Braised grouper with black bean sauce and bitter melon - Fish meat was huge in size, cooked till very juicy and soft, absorbing the essence of the sauce, which was flavourful. The sauce goes well with the rice, which was chewy and fragrant.
