As one of the staple dishes in Hong Kong, the egg tart is a must have not only be locals but in any chinese restaurant around the world. Although not a big fan of sweet items, I always make room for this item. Tai Cheong bakery, which opened a branch in Hung Hom, Hong Kong is my go to place. They serve two types of egg tarts, one with a flaky crust and the other with a butter crust. My personal preference is the one with the flaky crust as the butter crust is a bit heavy for my palette.
