I was desperate to try some new Japanese restaurants in CWB so I thought I might give it a go at one of the Jap restaurants in this Hang Wo Diamond Building.

Food:
- The grilled ox tongue was great. However, the pork and golden mushroom roll was a bit disappointing. The pork was not seasoned enough - so - we dipped that into the rich 'squid sauce' (see below) to finish it off.

- One of the less common dish one can find in HK is the chicken fillet sashimi. I tried it once in Kyoto but never see this in HK - you will be happy to know that I am still well and alive with no funny tummy. The chicken fillet wasn't totally raw - the outer layer was seared. There isn't much flavour unless you dipped the seared chicken in soy sauce mixed with wasabi. But if you like raw meat, give it a go.

- The 'must try' goes to the oven baked squid in miso and its liver. I agree that the sight of 'liver' is a bit gross (well.. to some ppl at least), but the liver was so well cooked that it was dissolved in the rich miso and it provided such a rich flavour to the sauce. mm.. one can compare that to the 'nam yu' sauce . Mr Yummy and I couldn't help but to order a bowl of rice just to enjoy the rich miso sauce!

Beverage:
- As hinted in the subject line, the draught Sapporo beer was soooooooooo smooth. I would come back JUST FOR THE SMOOTH CHILLED BEER.

Service:
- Generally not bad. One could tell the waitress is new (or may be a trainee) but her colleague who assumed the supervising role was overseeing whatever she was doing and he helped when the clumpsy hand got in the way. The 'supervising waiter' was very patient in explaining the last page of the menu because, unfortunately, the rice + ramen menu was in Japanese only (for those who learns japanese, it's a good opportunity to learn and apply your knowledge!) We were assured that the page would be translated into Chinese.
