Friyay chilling with friends! Originally planned to go for kimchi and egg fried rice but the restaurant happens to be in Lan Kwai Fong, and we would like a quieter place to eat and chat, so my friend suggested to go and try Mexus. We ordered a few dishes to share, my friend order a cocktail 🍸 and I ordered a beer 🍺 (sadly they don’t have Mexican beer- corona 😿):
They all seem small portions but when you get yourselves around them, you’ll feel full very soon as they really fill you up! Of course you need to order TACOS!! My favourite dish was the taco combo (4 tacos: beef, egg, fish & pork) and we get to try a different taco flavour each!! The buffalo wings was very different from the ones you try at other restaurants, I thought they would be coated with Tabasco sauce but they weren’t. I guess this is Mexican style!! The fries 🍟 were freshly prepared and fried, with the combination of truffle mayo, they don’t taste too oily at all! The pasta was freshly made and they were like lasagne sheets cooked with mushroom & ham. Good dish for those who love meaty flavours.
Overall the food was great, the service was good and the staff were friendly. The environment was cozy and the open kitchen looked lovely. 😊I heard that the brunch here is good too, would love to come here again next time!! 👍🏻
