My friends have recommended this restaurant to me a few times and I finally decided to give it a try at lunchtime. When I arrived the restaurant, there was a long line up and so I decided to order take out instead. I ordered the signature dish from the restaurant which is the pan fried lotus root and pork chop with rice, and it came with a double-stewed soup which only cost $51 in total ($1 for the lunchbox). I ordered the signature dish from the restaurant which is the pan fried lotus root and pork chop with rice, and it came with a double-stewed soup which only cost $51 in total ($1 for the lunchbox). Although I was not able to dine in at the restaurant, the rice and soup still tasted fresh and warm when I was having the food. To my surprise, the soup was very sweet with rich favor and there was no MSG in the soup.
On the other hand, the lotus root and pork chop rice tasted delicious, especially the pork chop was so saucy and tender. The lotus root tasted a bit blend so it was a great combination to have it with the pork chop and ginger onion sauce. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a fast, tasty and reasonable price meal near fortress hill.
