We were impressed by the dinner before so this time we came to celebrate a birthday. It turned out to be terrible unfortunately. 1st, lunch only serves set menu, and no a-la-carte at all. The menu was ok priced but the food quality was not good. They also don't cater for any diversity, when asked if they can cut the cheese in the risotto, they plainly said no coz their chefs can't do that (so perhaps the food wasn't freshly cooked?)2nd, the service is terrible compared to dinner. 2nd, the service is terrible compared to dinner. The waiter seems to be clueless for anything he went back and forth asking for manager every single time. The manager, well, was neither helpful or that nice.
3rd. The food quality, my steak salad was tasteless, the steak was luke warm, salad had no dressing, when I asked if they had mustard, they said NO but offered me tabasco instead (but last time I went for dinner they had 4 types for me to choose from). The risotto was actually good, hot and creamy.. The fish and chips was quite oily and worse than street venders in London. The children's meal was actually the highlight, the wings were nice and they let me changed the mash to fries. Oh also, the warm bread in the beginning was nice.
4th Lack of information, when we were about to order dessert, they said it'd take 20-25 mins+ to make it, if that's the case, they should have told us earlier and we'd have order earlier. Another sign of poor service.
題外話/補充資料:
There are no credit card discounts for lunch, but as room guests, last time we had 25% off at dinner.
