We had a delightful Saturday afternoon meeting friends who had just returned from their extensive business trip across various cities in China. After experiencing the culinary delights of different provinces, they still believed that Cantonese cuisine was the best among all. Jade Garden, a restaurant belonging to the Maxim Group with multiple branches in Hong Kong, lived up to its reputation. The extensive menu, presented in a thick booklet, ensured that every dish we ordered met our expectation
One noteworthy aspect was their lunch hours, which ended at 3pm. In many other restaurants in Hong Kong, it's common for the staff to start vacuuming the carpet around your table and making loud noises while sorting out cutlery and plates, which can be quite annoying and make guests feel rushed. However, at Jade Garden located in Star House, the staff worked diligently and discreetly. We were able to continue our conversation and stay until almost 4pm without feeling pressured to leave.
On the downside, the service was a bit slow, and there weren't many visible servers throughout the entire lunch session. Additionally, the floor in the restroom was wet and slippery, which could pose a safety hazard.
