Unfortunately I was equally looking forward to their sandwich list and this was a let-down. What I wanted was a turkey sandwich on sourdough bread. Indeed they offer a turkey sandwich and indeed they offer other sandwiches with sourdough bread, but when I asked to swap the bread to sourdough I was told the chef wouldn't like it so no way.
I ended up ordering a sourdough corned beef sandwich with no egg or cheese. What I didn't realize is that the corned beef wasn't sliced, it was corned beef hash, hot, on buttered toasted white 'sourdough ' bread, and very light in terms of the filling.
So all in all, not what I was hoping for. the French fries and beer were good, but the customer unfriendly attitude really put me off so even though the service was quick, iI gave it only one star.
