Elia is the new go-to place for sharing South-Eastern Spanish bites alongside designer cocktails in a cozy atmosphere. It is very spacious and grand interior with a rustic bar feel. The Michelin star chef Miguel Lopez has created a range of delicate plates that definitely excite us. The Michelin star chef Miguel Lopez has created a range of delicate plates that definitely excite us. Note that the Spanish-inspired menu only offers from 4pm till close. As always, the focus is on the food (and probably alcohol too).
Their designer cocktails are also another highlight. I wanted to have something that is more fruity and sweet flavour, the Mixologist Alfredo did a great job to amaze me.
Start with three exquisite appetisers to freshen us up!
- Crunchy Lamb with roasted Gazpacho ($55/pc): Just dip the deep-fried lamb pastry in a roasted, chilly glass of gazpacho soup, it surely brighten up the tomato flavor.
- Salmon with blue cheese ($168): delicately fresh salmon topped with blue cheese with a hint of white wine, interestingly the flavours are perfectly complemented. A sprinkle of of parsley marks the final touch of this fabulous seafood dish.
- Be sure to try this Duck Cigar ($118) with roasted garlic mayo sauce. The juicy and tender duck meat filling was extremely addictive. These 3 cigars are not enough for me! Simply can’t resist it!
We only ordered one main for the night, the ultimate Coquelet $278, it could be shared among 4. It was actually a combination of prawns and chicken stuffed in cheese bread and surprisingly poured over with spicy cocoa sauce, it wasn’t sweet at all.
Finally, never miss out their dessert, I absolutely in loved with their Matcha & Chocolate Coulant $68 served with ginger mousse, I have never tried ginger mousse before and definitely a nice kick to the dessert, the ginger mousse tasted quite strong but luckily it won’t overpower the lava cake. The matcha flavour tasted quite light and slightly sweeter for the chocolate lava.
I’d say I had a nice dining experience in Elia, will come back for sure.
