I very rarely write reviews on restaurants but I had the worst experience ever at Tango Argentinian Steak House tonight and I just have to share it. We ordered a large rib eye steak for two tonight ($1098) and asked for it to be cooked medium. When the steak came, we didn’t eat it immediately (since there were other food on the table to be finished) and perhaps waited 5 mins before digging into it. We ordered a large rib eye steak for two tonight ($1098) and asked for it to be cooked medium. When the steak came, we didn’t eat it immediately (since there were other food on the table to be finished) and perhaps waited 5 mins before digging into it. The steak was actually cooked medium well (the ends were totally well done) and very chewy w lots of tendon. It actually felt like a low quality piece of sirloin. We told the manager that the steak was medium well instead of medium and that the quality was sub-par. He ARGUED and said the steak was cooked medium per our order and that the meat was very tender. He pointed to the bone and said the steak was served medium but just that we left it on the table for too long and the serving plate (which was hot) cooked the meat further. One, I don’t care if the bone is cooked medium or even raw; I am eating the meat, not the bone. Two, don’t serve it on a hot plate if u know the plate will cooked the meat further. Three, we weren’t being unreasonable; he could see the meat was cooked to medium well. We told him to cancel our order but he rejected in our face and told us they don’t cancel order just because clients don’t like the way the meat was cooked, and that the meat was cooked to our request when it was served and it was our fault that we didn’t eat it immediately. He said he can pack the meat for us to take away but he will not cancel just because we didn’t like the way the steak was cooked. He didn’t offer us another dish or free desserts or any other options. So basically, we paid $1000+ for two bites of low quality meat. If he could have offered us another dish or something, I would have leave it at that but he didn’t and this is totally unsatisfactory customer service. I am not saying customer is always right but he is totally wrong. We will never go back again and will definitely discourage others to go. Too bad I can’t give zero or negative stars, otherwise I would.
