The waiter recommended the ‘Diplomatic’ that “closely resembled a Napoleon.”
We went back to our seats to place the order. We asked for “the Napoleon cake”, to which a waiter with a contemptuous and frivolous attitude responded, "We don't have a Napoleon.”
We replied, "It may not be the proper name for that piece of cake but your colleague introduced it as a Napoleon.”
We further explained that the cake we wanted was the one with only two pieces left. To our surprise, the waiter cockily said he understood which cake we were talking about. He then placed the order but only after reiterating that they do not sell a “Napoleon”.
Our experiences dining in this restaurant was less than satisfactory. The waiter’s attitude was unnecessarily judgemental, especially given that he understood our order. Overall, the services were unpleasant and we felt disrespected as customers.
