One of my Indian friends wanted to bring me to an Indian restaurant as he knew that i could take spicy food. He told me that this Indian restaurant prepared the food in rather traditional Indian method. Rang mahal was located at Queen Road Central, near mid level escalator at Central. Their menu was extensive and comprehensive, offering a wide range of Indian delicacies, from appetizers, curries, masala, naan & drinks etc. Shortly after we ordered our food, the waiter served us a basket of papad

Shortly after we ordered our food, the waiter served us a basket of papadum. There were sauce for us to dip onto. Papadum was thin in texture and was very crispy, like eating biscuits. It mixed well with those sauce provided, which was spicy, sour and sweet.
Mango lassi - It was served in a tall glass. It was blended till smooth and milky, sweet and sour at the same time, with strong mango taste. It was not too watery as well.
Chicken vindaloo - We asked the waiter for his recommendation on which is the most spicy of all curries, and he recommended vindaloo. It was certainly spicy based on local standards, but considered acceptable to me. Gravy was thick in texture and creamy. Chicken was juicy and smooth.
Tandoori roti - It was thin in texture and crispy. It complimented nicely with the curry gravy.
Kulfi - This is their home made ice cream and i requested for mango flavour. This is not typical ice cream, not based on traditional Indian style. It will not melt and the texture was something like cheese cake. Mango syrup was placed on top of the ice cream and was sweet.
