Kwan Hing Kee is the most famous soya shop in Western District since 1928 owned by Kwan’s couple. Unlike most of the business structure, Kwan’s is more neighborhood friendly business. Not only selling the soya dish they cooked, but helping neighborhood to find uncommon ingredients so that they made friends with all customers. Mrs Kwan was only nineteen when she started taking care of the shop for her husband. Now she is more than 60 years old and has been providing home-made soya products for the neighborhood till now. 

The most famous soya product is their homemade bean curd jelly, a dessert existed in Hong Kong with a long period of history. It’s made by soy milk and gypsum power formed after solidification then finish with syrup water. They provide a blow of yellow sugar power for additional sweetness and ginger syrup for a kick of spicy favor. Customer could feel a friendly environment in this tiny Tofu shop.
