I was missing Japan and it was time to revisit 京林屋 for its 香港限定芭菲 HK Exclusive Parfait which I think was really the best parfait! We came in during afternoon tea time on a weekday and there was no queue and we managed to occupy one of the 2 private tables at the corner.香港限定芭菲 HK Exclusive ParfaitWe had tried this for the previous two times and it is a must-order item! We had tried this for the previous two times and it is a must-order item! It was very good as usual!
Ingredients from top to bottom:
抹茶雪糕、白玉丸子、抹茶蕨餅、crispy rice、紅豆蓉 、jelly、忌廉、草莓、1 more白玉丸子 at the bottom.
The matcha soft cream was so rich and smooth. The白玉丸子were so chewy - great perfect texture indeed! The matcha soft cream tasted great with the red bean paste! There seemed to be endless amount of matcha soft cream. Great crispy texture added by the crispy rice! Even the strawberries were so delicious!The texture of the 抹茶蕨餅 had improved. They were so smooth and easy to chew. Same for the jelly. Again it was the best parfait I had ever had! It had never been disappointing!

Hojicha Cheese Cake
My first time to try this. Very delicious Hojicha Cheese Cake, much better than the matcha cheese cake we had in our first visit. It was thick enough and interestingly tasted a bit like chocolate to me. Very rich flavour of hojicha. The hojicha ice-cream was delicious too but it was melting fast. A bit too sweet with the red bean paste, maybe the latter should better go with matcha ice-cream instead.

Cold Peach Hojicha came with the Hojicha Cheese Cake as a set. It was ok and I chose this because it was not so rich in caffeine. It seemed that it had achieved our purpose.
We had wanted to try Hojicha soft cream but were told that it was not available until Fri-Sun. What a pity.
Would definitely come back from time to time for the HK Exclusive Parfait and maybe for the Hojicha soft cream next time!
