I came to Kikusan on a Sunday night for dinner, I haven't been here in a while so their menu has changed a bit. Looks like they've taken all the raw fish items off menu -- perhaps that was a change that came with the pandemic? My bf was disappointed to see that the Kikusan Roll wasn't available anymore. The tempura was pretty good and the shrimp was tasty! The vegetables in the fritter were a bit too thin so we couldn't really taste it and I thought there could be more shrimp for the price. Not bad though

I was so happy to eat these because ever since I stopped eating meat, I couldn't find anywhere else that did this style of dumplings, I used to love them. These dumplings were quite big and filled with veggies, the mala chilli oil was great and quite spicy. I would definitely order these again, they really were great.

I ordered the vegetable curry with rice and I really liked it! I liked the different variety of vegetables (pumpkin, zucchini, lotus root, eggplant, bitter melon, okra) and they were all in big chunks too. The curry isn't the typical thick type you get, but I still liked it with the Japanese rice served with it. The soupier curry made the whole thing seem lighter.

Overall, it was a really nice meal, the food was great and the seating is quite comfortable. I'll keep this in my mind when I'm choosing nice places to eat around Causeway!
