For a restaurant that had a reputation of Michelin recommendation, I could summarise the experience with one word; “underwhelming”.The decor of the restaurant was nice with very good staff and service. They certainly deserve the recognition in that aspect of the overall experience. However, once the food came, you would understand why I thought the overall eating experience was underwhelming. The food did not necessarily taste that good. The shrimp salad came first and the fried shrimp were okay

However, once the food came, you would understand why I thought the overall eating experience was underwhelming. The food did not necessarily taste that good. The shrimp salad came first and the fried shrimp were okay and I would consider reordering these two dishes.
The oyster pancake was not up to par at all. It was thick and greasy, and barely tasted of any oysters. The overall execution of this dish was simply unappetising. The soft shell crab curry was also disappointing. The bread it was served in, did not taste fresh or that good. And when the bread you are supposed to eat the curry with doesn’t taste good, you could feel the dish go to waste. The curry itself wasn’t bad, and is certainly on the creamy side. The seafood coconut fried rice, was as good as it could be. The coconut flavour completely overwhelmed the overall dish, the seafood was lacking which made the overall dish unbalanced.
For the value, these dishes are at, I think there are better restaurants out there that could serve the same dish at a lower price. I would cut them some slack as their restaurant is situated on the second floor of a hotel which limits their walk in customers. Given that it was coronavirus season, perhaps their quality of food has decreased.
