I had been super looking forward to dining here as I had never tried this Japanese restaurant while I had tried many other restaurants at the Peninsula. I came here for a late dinner finally on a Sunday evening. The environment was nice but it was so crowded with most other people enjoying the dinner buffet. However, I was here for a la carte items this time. First of all, we were served with such a New Year welcoming dish as an appetiser for each of us, which was complimentary! There were a Jap

The Uni sashimi was priced at $420 + 10%. The uni were pretty small but they were so fresh and sweet. Some seaweed was served on the side to eat with the uni. Good dish indeed!

I ordered this sushi platter with 12 pieces of sushi which was priced at $750+10%. However, I had to admit that I was quite disappointed as the quality was just average. And you can tell from the photo that there were not many expensive sashimi. You see the small shrimps, crab stick and salmon? Very average indeed. Below average when discounted by price.

The Mandarin sherbet was priced at $90+10% which was so pretty. It was very refreshing but portion was super tiny. The seasonal fruits were priced at $165+10% which were melon slices and strawberry slices. However, they were definitely not the best fruits available in town. The melon was not ripe or juicy enough. I was quite disappointed indeed.
My dining partner ordered this tuna rolls. I hadn't tried so couldn't give any comments.
Maybe the buffet could be better if they kept serving uni of such quality but at a all-your-want-to-eat manner. Overall, I would give an OK given the Uni and that it is Peninsula. Otherwise, would well have given a crying face.
