One thing I love about Citysuper is that it offers a wide variety of options, many of which are exotic, imported from many different countries. La Fermière is a French brand founded in 1952. It proudly produces French yoghurt, which vastly differs from its more famous counterpart, Greek yoghurt.
First, unlike Greek yoghurt that’s brewed in large vats and then poured into cups, French yoghurt employs a unique technique called cup-set, in which it’s produced in small pots from the very beginning.
Second, their textures are drastically different. As Greek yoghurt is strained to remove the whey, it’s smoother and has a thicker consistency. French yoghurt, oppositely, is unstrained and uses whole milk, which gives a rich, creamy and semi-solid texture.
Surprisingly, my sister rarely likes eating yoghurt but she loves this small cup of French yoghurt a lot! It’s mainly because it’s not as sour, and it’s sweeter and has a richer milk aroma than the normal yoghurt. At the bottom of the cup, we’re pleasantly surprised by the blueberry jam that suddenly loomed out of the creamy whitish yoghurt and flowed like molten lava!
Highly recommend this delightful snack!
