Was really looking forward to having my Valentines day dinner at Cafe Deco because I heard how fantastic the view is up there. Unfortunately the weather was terrible on the 14th (nothing to do with Cafe Deco obviously).. So I thought that the food would make up for the lack of view, all we could see were the clouds and the mist!Lets just say the food took AGES to arrive at our table. I even ordered oysters on the side of our set menu which was around HKD600 per person. The oysters were alright b
Lets just say the food took AGES to arrive at our table. I even ordered oysters on the side of our set menu which was around HKD600 per person. The oysters were alright but the entrees were lacking taste and the foie gras tasted as if it was left there for some time. A bit old.
The mains literally took 1 hour to come out even though I had to pre book them. When they fortunately came out they were cold! I had to ask the waitress twice where our mains were.
Now, for the most disgusting part of the meal was the crustacean cappuccino soup. It felt like rotten fish and I for one, love seafood! It almost came back up, I couldn't even finish it. I am not picky with food but that just killed my meal.
I don't think i'd return and definitely do not recommend any special occasions here.. (thats if you do care of how your meal tastes!)
