As we are rushing for a movie this evening, and so, right after we parked our car on the road side, we spotted this little shop that offer reasonable Shanghainese, and value set at dinner time, so we give it a try.Quite a surprising thing to us is that, the portion offered by this shop is great, there are four of us, and the starter comes in with quite a good size for us to share. Quite a surprising thing to us is that, the portion offered by this shop is great, there are four of us, and the starter comes in with quite a good size for us to share. Chicken in wine (Drunk Chicken) was nicely done, although some may find the chicken pieces is a bit too big, but it was tender, and the Chinese wine taste was not too strong.

The next starter we have was the Sweet and Sour Fish, very very yummy, because it's freshly fried, the skin was not too hard, and mixed with the right amount of sauce, become the first dish to go and finished by us. You can see that the portion offered is really not bad.

For a neighbour-friend shop in the area, I appreciated it very much the quality of the Shanghai Dumpling, in particular the skin was thin enough that you need to take it slowly to enjoy the soup inside. Nice.

Super Hot Noodle with Dumpling (set)

We have ordered this value set that comes with the Shanghai Dumpling, as well as the Sour and Spicy Noodle. Be warned that the noodle was really spicy, and so, have to be careful when taking it. This is the second time I tried this similar noodle, and the texture of the noodle in this shop was better comparatively, not too sticky, but quite smooth and easy to handle with chopsticks. I really want to enjoy the soup, but at the end, it's just too spicy for me. My other friends did challenge themselves and finished most of it.

The Rice Noodle recommended by the shop, and we all like it too because most of the time we will try the oily thick noodle, and missed that the rice noodle was actually quite a mild and nice starchy to have. Perhaps to fill our stomach and neutralise our spicy stomach. The taste was nice, not too spicy, and the very thin noodle makes you feel that you can keep on taking it. I have to declare, I finished most of it as I recalled that I had 3 little bowl afterall.

This is a nice and big portion dish as well, and the fun of having it is that, we all think that it is very hot and spicy, and so, we tried to take the fish pieces that were on the top of the bowl... but later, we found that the taste was great,and then, we try to do our own treasure hunt inside the bowl and see if we can dig out more inside it. It's really quite enjoyable, as it comes almost as the last dish, and so, we can easily take time to enjoy the meat, and not in a rush

Overall, the meal was only about HKD400, and for 4 person to enjoy and done in about an hour. Quick, and cheap and nice!! Well done !!
